Data Collection&Transmission of Radar Water Level Meter
Radar water level meter is used to measure spontaneous change on hydrologic features such as rainfall, water level, flow of reservoir. It is fundamental and preliminary work to witness and monitor for flood control and drought relief. Its quality and precision as top priorities will directly affect the instantaneity and accuracy of water information and science on flood control and drought relief, strengthening the infrastructure construction of flood forecast station as well as intensifying the information collection and transmission of water regimen, promotion of water forecast quality.
General functional requirements
1) All the hydrological parameters in the entire telemetry station are correctly received once no more than 20 minutes by hydrological substation. Data is collected, transmitted, processed and warehoused once by regional telemetry station no more than 20 minutes.
2) Operation mode: self-report mode, response mode and self-report- response mode.
Three operation modes can be functioned simultaneously.
3) Automatically collect the water level , rainfall data, transmit data periodically and duly, data can be stored on station for a long time.
4) All the equipment should be simple in structure, reliable with low power consumption; All the telemetry station can function under the unattended operation.
5) It can be reliably operated under severe weather conditions such as storm, flood. for a long time, keeping away from any failure on substation to lose hydrological data.
6) System transmits clock synchronizing signal with all system clock synchronizing.
7) Invalid data warning and equipment failure warning
8) Communication rate should be more than 98% with system error rate less than 6X10ˉ5
9) Data communicate with other related computer network system.
10) System MTBF more than 20,000 hours
11) With reliable lightning-proof measure
12) Used by wired program-controlled telephone with data collection time less than 40 seconds.
