Instrument knowledge|Radar level meter, how to reduce the interference in the tank on the measurement
When we install the radar level meter, we will encounter many on-site storage tanks with supports, such as beams and brackets, etc . . . These supports will interfere with the signal of the radar level meter. If the above interference objects appear in the radar emission area, when the normal liquid level is below the interference objects, it will inevitably affect the normal measurement of the radar level meter, and false echo signals will appear. When encountering such situations, there are the following solutions:
Method 1: Cleaning up on-site interference
If the interference is too large, completely occludes or most of the transmission signal of the radar level meter, you can only choose to remove the interference or change the installation position of the radar level meter. As shown in the figure below, there is an abandoned floating plate level gauge in the tank, and the data is normal after cleaning.
Method 2: false echo learning
For non-removable interference objects, the false echo learning function can be used to eliminate its influence. Specific steps are as follows:
1. Determine the position of the interference, as shown in the figure below, the position of the interference is 7.324 m.
2. In the "False Echo 4.1" session of the radar level meter, select the "New" menu and enter the data 8.000. Note: The input data must be greater than 7.324 of the actual position of the interference. As shown below:
3. Press the "OK" button to confirm and save, please wait for the LCD display, the meter will start false echo learning. After completion, you can measure normally. The echo curve is shown below.
