When using radar liquid level measurements, how to eliminate the interference signal generated by the short tube in the storage tank?
When the radar level gauge is installed, many on-site storage tanks will have a short tube (the tank neck). When the butt joint is very long, the inside is not smooth or there are burrs in the welding, etc., it will interfere with the measurement of the radar level sensor, causing the phenomenon of full tank, no matter the material is fed or discharged, the measurement result of the radar level sensor does not change .
So, how to eliminate the false echo generated by the short connection of the storage tank? There are 3 steps for specific operations as follows:
Step1: Confirm the location of the false echo
Adjust the display of the radar level gauge to the echo curve interface, as shown in the figure below, where you can see that the false echo position is 0.327m.
Step2: Edit false echo curve on Menu service page
On the menu service page, enter "false echo editing" for editing, the starting point is 00.0, and the ending point is 00.4 (Note: the editing end point must be larger than the false echo position) as shown below:
Step3: Finish and saving
The above can be saved and the radar can be measured normally, as shown below:
